Every year, Ireland sends up to five students to participate in the World Schools Debating Championships . Transport and accommodation is free for competitors, who get the chance to compete with students from all six continents.

Galway hosts trials for young debaters in the West of Ireland and those chosen go to Dublin to compete for the top spots in national trials. Everyone is welcome; it involves a number of debates and it is great practice. If you would like to enter, have a look at the website.
