You may have seen the tantalising posters around campus, and you may be asking the question we hoped you would be. What is a “Gib”? Answer: if you’re a first year or first-time speaker at Lit & Deb (or both) you’re a Gib. Gibs night is Lit & Deb’s night dedicated to new members. Spot prizes for every first timer who speaks and you can speak on our suggested topics or anything you like. A wise panel of hacks will decide who the Gib of the year who will be given a MASSIVE WAD OF CASH. Meet old hacks and new friends, lose your debating virginity and any other kind you may have lingering with a free pint in Paddy’s followed by a monumental house party.
