Venue: Kirwan Theatre (Arts Concourse NUI Galway) Date: Thursday 10th March Time: 7.30pm This Thursday, March 10th, the Literary and Debating Society in conjunction with the Comic Book Society will be hosting ‘An Evening with Warren Ellis’ in the Kirwan Theatre at 7pm. He will be interviewed on the night by Gar O' Brien, a PhD student in film studies at NUIG who has both a passionate personal and academic interest in comics. He also has presented work at the San Diego Comic Con. Warren Ellis is a highly successful British comic book creator, author and screenwriter. He is the award-winning creator of graphic novels such as ‘Fell’ , ‘Planetary’ and ‘Transmetropolitan ’. His first novel, ‘Crooked Little Vein’was released in 2007. During his career he has worked for Marvel, Avatar and DC Comics. In 2010 he won the Eagle Award for ‘Best Web Based Comic’ for his online comic ‘FreakAngels’. So join us this Thursday for what promises to be a lively and interesting evening with award winning graphic novel author Warren Ellis. All are welcome to attend.
