The music pirates are going to destroy the music industry! Or are they?

The problem of piracy has been rising for the past 10 years, and the numbers of "pirates" are growing day by day yet the profits made by these companies have been constantly on the rise. It seems to be a victimless crime, yet music stars descend from their mansions to complain about small percentages of their revenue being removed.

Maybe piracy will bring purity back to the music industry putting live gigs and love of the music back to the forefront. Alternatively it could lead to the death of small industry and only allow the large scale companies to exist, killing independent input to music.
