Speaker of the Year

##UPDATE##  Mr James Hope, who was speaking in fourth proposition won the debate, with Auditor Dan Colley speaking in third opposition, coming a close second place.

 

Thursday night sees our Speaker of the Year competition take place in the Kirwan. The competitors in this event are the finest and most accomplished speakers in the society and tonight we will recognise their outstanding achievements to the society during the year. They will be armed with words, and pitted against each other in order to decide who is the society's best individual speaker.

 

The gladiators  competitors have all proven their worth during Intervarsity Competitions, the prestigious Irish Times competition, the illustrious Internal Mace, and the maiden speakers competition.

 

 The speakers tonight are:

2nd Proposition - Sean Butler
2nd Opposition  - Tony McDonnell
3rd Proposition  - George Kaar
3rd Opposition   - Dan Colley
4th Proposition  - James Hope
4th Opposition   - Jackie Driscoll
